Notice

Update as of 05/04/2020:

Thank you for your continued patience during this troubling time. As many of you are aware, Governor Northam's Executive Order has expired as of May 4th, which placed a ban on elective surgeries and procedures. However, to better serve you and to follow strict protocols as provided by the CDC, our office will not be opening until June 10th, to implement adjusted policies and other protective measures, as well as ensure our PPE supplies are adequately stocked. For our patients whose appointments have passed, we will contact you to reschedule and to provide additional instructions. In the meantime, we are making adjustments to our office to protect patients and staff, and to ensure we do not further the spread in any way. Thank you for your continued support and patience. In the instance that you or your family needs urgent care in this time, please give us a call or email and we will do our best to accommodate.

Update as of 03/12/2020: As a healthcare provider and for precautionary measures, our office will be closing temporarily until further notice. We will continue to assess the situation, and decide later if we need to extend this period of closure. You will be notified as soon as possible of all changes.  Please see our Governor's update here.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and we hope everyone stays safe.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lac and her team at Pediatric Tooth Journeys

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect the United States, your safety and wellness is our utmost priority. Although the severity and impact of the virus is still being monitored, we can all play our part in hindering its progression. It is important to also remember that the virus is very contagious and that the elderly, young children and individuals with pre-existing conditions are at high risk. While most healthy individuals will recover on their own, we all have family, such as grandparents, young children, or other high risk individuals we are caring for at home.

This is why we would like you to take this very seriously. In the following days, if you or anyone in close contact with you has experienced or is experiencing flu-like symptoms (such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or difficulty breathing), we kindly ask you to reschedule any appointments you have with us until a later time. Most dental appointments, although important, are not life threatening and can be postponed. Please continue to practice healthy habits like washing your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, covering your cough or sneezing into your elbow or a tissue, staying at home if you feel unwell, and seeking medical attention when necessary. Please see the CDC Guidelines for Prevention.

Please also reschedule your appointment if, in the past two weeks, you have either been in close contact with someone who is infected with COVID-19, or have returned to the United States from an area affected by the coronavirus disease. Right now this list includes China, Iran, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. However, the list of countries continues to change, so it’s a good idea to check this Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website for updates on the affected countries.

We sincerely apologize if this poses any inconvenience to you, but we need everyone's cooperation to ensure we beat this. Please call us at 804-918-5850 to reschedule your appointment or if you have any concerns - or you can request a new appointment online. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred date and time.

We, The Healthcare Community, and Your Community thank you for your continued support and fight against this epidemic.

Sincerely,
The Team at Pediatric Tooth Journeys
